Jerry Twomey, RIP

The Trustees and members of St. Brigid’s wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Twomey family on the recent passing of Jerry Twomey who coached for many years with St Brigid’s. Jerry helped St. Brigid’s N.S. Castleknock through sponsorship and coaching to win senior 1 in Croke Park, went on to win an unprecedented four Division 1 titles. In the club he managed the ladies u16 team to a league 1 and championship double. He also managed the senior Ladies football with many of that team successfully playing for the Dublin Senior Ladies footballers.

Jerry Twomey (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Macroom, Co. Cork and ex-Garda Síochána) December 7th., 2024 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at the Mater Private Hospital, Jerry, beloved husband of Veronica and dear father of Kevin and Aoife; sadly missed by his loving family, brother Paudie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and a very large circle of friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Tuesday evening (December 10th) between 5pm and 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning (December 11th) to the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Laurel Lodge arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.
