GAA President’s Award/ Gradaim an Uachtaráin 2024 for Mary O’Connor

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with you, made even more special by being announced on St Brigid’s Day.
St. Brigid’s GAA Club takes immense pride and joy in announcing that Mary O’Connor, our former secretary and current assistant secretary, has been chosen to receive a President’s Award from Larry McCarthy, President of the GAA, in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the Ladies Gaelic Football Association over the years. These prestigious awards, organized and presented annually, honor individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and dedication to the organization.
Mary exemplifies the best qualities of the GAA, showcasing relentless pursuit of excellence and unwavering commitment that has left a lasting impact on the growth of ladies football in Dublin. We are thrilled to see her significant contributions acknowledged in this manner. Within St. Brigid’s, we deeply appreciate Mary’s dedication to the GAA, which extends to the phenomenal impact she has made on our own club. As our secretary, she served as the linchpin, coordinating meetings, managing pitch allocations, driving innovation, and inspiring volunteers and members alike. Her work was carried out with exceptional efficiency, courtesy, and a lack of fuss. Mary’s infectious enthusiasm and enduring commitment have not only left a lasting mark on our club but have also enriched the lives of our members and players.
