History was made at St Brigid’s GAA today as, for the first time ever, we fielded three Minor LGFA teams in competitive action on the same day. Fittingly, this incredible milestone took place on International Women’s Day 2025, a day dedicated to celebrating the achievements, strength, and determination of women in sport and beyond.
All three matches were played on home turf, creating an electric atmosphere of support and excitement throughout the club. Even more impressively, our teams delivered an undefeated performance across all three games, showcasing the talent, teamwork, and dedication that define St Brigid’s LGFA.
This achievement highlights the continued growth of ladies' football in our club and is a testament to the hard work of our players, coaches, mentors, and supporters. It was a day to remember, not just for the results, but for what it represents—progress, empowerment, and a bright future for women in sport.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved in making this historic day happen! The future of St Brigid’s LGFA has never looked stronger.
