Mary Burgess (née Culkin), Creggconnell, Rosses Point, Co.Sligo and formerly of Ryehill, Co.Galway, May 17th 2024.

 

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the exemplary care of the staff of Nazareth Nursing Care, Church Hill, Sligo. Predeceased by her infant son Darragh. Dearly loved wife of Joe and mother to Siobhan (O’Connor), Niall, Thora (Sinnott) and Mary (Tuthill). Sadly missed by her loving family, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, sons-in-law Donald, Niall and Jason, grandchildren Molly, Luke, Grace, Caedan, Adam, Neela, Edie, Maeve, Paddy, Simone, Mya, Allie and Blaise, sisters Kathleen Feerick and Norrie McKeogh, brother Padraig, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.

 

Reposing at Nazareth Chapel, Church Hill, Sligo (F91A243) on Monday, May 20th, from 6pm until 8pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21st, at 12 noon in Saint Columba’s Church, Rosses Point, Co. Sligo, followed by burial in Rosses Point Cemetery. Family flowers only. Congrats to our LGFA Leinster Champions

Huge congratulations to Ashling Nyhan, Ellen Gribben and Rachel Brennan from our Senior Ladies Football team who were part of the victorious Dublin Ladies Football team that beat Meath to claim their 11th Leinster LGFA Senior Championship title in succession. Best of luck in the All Ireland series.

Bernard (Benny) Reilly, peacefully at his residence on 1st May 2024. Pre-deceased by his parents Bernard and Margaret, his brother Peter and nephew Eamon Gray. Benny will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family; wife Teresa, daughters Teresa Finnan and Anne Marie Horan, sons Brian, Francis, Gerard and Stephen, sister Mary Jo Gray, brother Pat (Ennis), daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, 14 grandchildren, brother in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road Longford (N39 EC81) on Friday evening from 4.00pm concluding with prayers at 7.00pm. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning, arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Legga, for Funeral Mass at 11.00am with interment afterwards in Tubberpatrick Cemetery.

GAA National Club Draw Results

The GAA National Club Draw took place on 27 March last in Croke Park.  While there was no individual winner from our tickets sales the club were delighted to win €1,000 as the highest ticket seller in Leinster.
