O’DONNELL: Tourin, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. On 20th September 2022, peacefully, at her home Betty (nee Cotter), loving wife of the late John Joe (Doc), sister of the late Helen Cotter, mother-in-law of the late Paddy Meaney. Deeply regretted by her loving son Kenneth, daughters Shirley, Deirdre, Finola and Thelma, brother Walter Cotter, adored Nana to Ellen, Iona, Darragh, Feena, John and Fionn, sons-in-law John Flynn, Sean Roche and Timmy O’Mahony, sister-in-law Nora Cotter, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Lying in repose at Aidan Walsh and Sons Funeral Home, Cappoquin on Thursday evening from 4.30pm to 6.30pm, followed by removal to Mount Melleray Abbey Church. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11.00am in Mount Melleray Abbey Church followed by Burial to St. Declan’s Cemetery, Cappoquin.

All those attending the funeral services are asked to please respect social distancing guidelines.

Quarter Final, Senior Football St Brigids v St Maurs

The Senior Mens Football team play St. Maurs in the Championship 1/4 final on Saturday evening 17th September in Garristown at 5:15pm.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Church Avenue, Blanchardstown on Sunday evening (4th September) between 5pm and 7pm.

Removal on Monday morning (5th September) to St. Patrick’s Church, Corduff arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by burial in Mulhuddart cemetery.

All Stars Programme Starting Soon

St Brigids are preparing for an All Stars Inclusive Club Programme. If you are interested in coaching or have a child who would like to join contact Ciara Lowry 0868513333.

The programme is an all inclusive one for children with additional needs. It includes children who could not take part in a typical team game, assisting with skills, exercise and fun in an environment tailored to the needs of the individual child.

Months Mind Mass for Fr Tom Russell OFM 18th August

On Thursday 18th August, there will be a Months Mind Mass for the late Fr Tom Russell OFM in St Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown, at 10 am. Celebrant will be Fr Stephen Kennedy, Tom’s cousin.

Ann Dempsey RIP

The Trustees and members of St. Brigid’s wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Dempsey family on the passing of Ann Dempsey, wife of Pat Dempsey. Pat was a former manager and mentor of St Brigids Senior Hurling team and their son Mark played with St Brigid’s teams for many years.

Kilkenny) July 26th 2022, peacefully, surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Beloved wife of Pat, cherished mother of Michelle and Mark, grandmother of Emma and Thomas and dear sister of Rose, Mary, Michael, Tony and the late Johnny, Bob, Eileen and Phil. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughter, son, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Karen, Michelle’s partner John, sisters, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home on Thursday evening (28th July) from 6pm to 8pm. Removal to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Friday (29th July) arriving for Funeral Mass at 12noon followed by cremation at Glasnevin Crematorium.
