Leinster Handball Finals

The juvenile Handball section was very busy last Sunday with a number of players competing in the Leinster B Singles Finals at numerous venues around the province. At Russell Park we hosted the U15 boys tournament.

Congratulations to those who came away with a medal on the day and well done to all who represented the club and Dublin in a very sporting manner. A big thank you too, to the parents for taking the time to bring the players to the various locations and to all of the host clubs.

It was great to have Eoin Kennedy to assist in referring and ensuring that the programme in Russell Park ran on time.

Naomh Bríd Camogie players meet President Biden

A number of juvenile camogie players from our u12 group were honoured to attend Farmleigh this afternoon and give a demonstration of camogie to President Biden, An Taoiseach and other dignitaries.

Our girls were joined by boys from neighbouring clubs Castleknock GAA and St. Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh  who were invited to showcase Gaelic Games with the boys playing Gaelic Football.

The demonstration took place on the grounds of Farmleigh and was captured by local and international media. Following this two of our players presented President Biden with a sliothar, our red and white striped bobble hat and a St. Brigid’s Cross.

A big thank you to our coaches Maeve O’Sullivan and Zita Langenbach who managed the group today. Congratulations to all of the players from the three clubs who represented all of the clubs on the island of Ireland and abroad and did their families, their clubs, the communities of Dublin 15 & the Navan Road and the wider GAA community proud.  Thank you to all involved in organising the afternoon; the girls and boys have created a lifetime of memories.
