The Trustees and members of St. Brigid’s GAA wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Rice family on the passing of Peter Rice, father of Jan.

It was with great sadness that St Brigid’s learned of the recent passing of Peter Rice, father of Jan Rice. Peter served at every level of the LGFA at club, county, provincial and national levels, and was LGFA National President from 1991 to 1994. He managed underage and adult county teams in Wexford. He always gave most generously of his time and expertise. Peter was based mainly in Wexford but when his job took him to Dublin, St Brigid’s were privileged that during that time Peter undertook to act as Selector for the Ladies Junior Football team. The players prospered under his guidance and have very many fond memories of Peter. To Jan and to all his family we offer our deepest sympathies.
