Senior 4 Camogie v Jude's Match Report 20/08/15 2015-08-21 11:05:00

Senior 4 Camogie Nh Jude 0-5  v Nh Brid 2-13

It was a strong display from the Nh Brid girls on their first match back after the summer break. The hard work put in on the training pitch by the girls over the last two weeks under the new management team of Thelma, Paddy and Gerry, really paid off as could be seen in the strong tackle and first touch on the ball across the pitch, in all positions.

Aine Ni Mhurchu with1-4 and Carolyn McCarthy with 5 points were the hero's of the day.

The backs inspired by Aoibheann Ni Shuilleabhain's aggression in the tackle insured Aiofe Deegan in goals had a fairly quite day at the office, with Jude's girls only scoring 5 points. Aiofe's long puck out into the half forward line and with some fine catching of the high ball by Carolyn McCarthy, kept the pressure on the Jude's players.

Aine Ni Mhurchu was a constant treat attacking the Jude's backs every time she got the ball in her hand.

Siobhan Phelan straight back from honeymoon, with no training during the week, chipped in with 1-1 and the talk on the side line was that the hurl  was surely brought on honeymoon!

The girls last league match is next Thursday in Russell park against Nh Padraig(all support welcome) with a good  middle table position in their first year at Senior 4.

Attention is now focusing on the Championship in September the confidence is running high in this group of players and it's clear to see.
