U13 Girls remain unbeaten in the League! 2015-04-19 17:05:00

Division 5N  - Garristown 2-6,  St Brigids 3-3 – draw.

St Brigids U13 girls finished this part of the league unbeaten with a draw in Garristown.
Garristown started the stronger of the two teams and built up a lead as Brigids leaked two stoppable goals. However, the final 10 minutes of the half belonged to Brigids as the girls realised they were in difficult match and battled hard to get back on terms.
St Brigids came out fighting in the second half piling on the pressure, scoring goals and points to eventually level the game.
Overall, the girls came up against their toughest competition in this league today and should have won!
Mia Malone and Rebecca Wade did really well in goal and the backs had a great day and worked hard. Ellie Raftery’s anticipation of the ball was excellent as she won ball charging forward. Amelia Ryan and Katherine Dunphy had very strong games and the midfield of Ava Duignan and Caoimhe O’Reilly worked and worked!
Amy Lawless had another very strong game and Emma McGrath scored another goal!
The girls are really gelling together and there is great team spirit – they needed to dig deep today and they succeeded in getting a draw against the odds!
Girls of the match were Amelie Ryan and Ellie Raftery – keep it up girls!
