Division 5N  - St Brigids 8-05, Oliver Plunketts ER 1-02
St Brigids U13 girls made it 5 wins on the bounce on Tuesday night taking on an in form Oliver Plunketts side in Russell Park.

The girls footballing skills are fast improving and they powered on in the 2nd half to run out comfortable winners.
The girls worked really hard for the 60 minutes – Sadhbh Kearney worked tirelessly in the backs, cleaning up loose ball and running at speed at the opposition. Ella Mansfield, Ruth Hanley and Amy Boyle defended very well and Ellie Raftery in the half back line is really enjoying her game and battled extremely well. Sarah Higgins and Katherine Dunphy secured the half back line and showed some lovely skill in defence.
Caoimhe O’Reilly and Ava Duignan were strong in Midfield and supplied good ball for the forwards. Tara Coffey had a great game, as did Dara Loomes, but Amy Lawless showed her strength, powering through the defence brilliantly.
The forwards – Amy Boyle, Zoe Galvin an Emma McGrath were in top form scoring goals up front.
Meadhbh Quinn was excellent in goal in the second half, as was Mia Malone in the first. Mia also did very well in defence in the 2nd half.
U13’s are now 5 from 5 and top of the league – Well done!
