AFL 3 Footballers Claim Fine League Win Away to St Vincents 2015-03-09 13:14:00

St Vincents 1-08 St Brigids 2-07

Our AFL 3 Footballers secured their first league points of the season following an excellent 2-07 to 1-08 win over St Vincents in Pairc Na Uinsionn on Sunday morning. A fine first half goal from full forward Seamus Bonner was following by the score of the game from veteran Craig Kilmurray which gave the visitors a 1-04 to 0-03 half time advantage.

Vincents claimed a goal of their own from the penalty spot after the restart and were two points clear with 50 minutes on the clock. However, Brigids were not done yet and following some fine work by Conor Brennan, Donal Timoney was on hand to volley the ball to the net. A late Bonner free sealed a fine victory for Kevin Stritchs men!
