Senior Hurling Championship Semi Final
Ballyboden 2-17 St Brigids 1-10
Hard luck to our Senior Hurlers who lost out to Ballyboden St Endas
in the Dublin SHC despite making a great start in Thursday nights
semi-final at Parnell Park.
Brigids were 1-01 to 0-0 to the good inside only two minutes following a Paul Winters point and goal from John O Loughlin, however, Boden eventually began to work their way back into the game.
Shane Durkins goal in the 15th minute steadied Boden and five minutes from halftime they grabbed their second when Maurice Nagle scored to see them lead 2-06 to 1-05 at half-time.
The game was in the balance with 15 minutes to go with only 3 points between the sides but it was Boden who pushed on outscoring the Russell Park men 0-08 to 0-01 in the final 10 minutes with Dublin stars Conal Keaney and Paul Ryan prominent.
Hard luck to Ger and the lads, their second Championship Semi Final defeat in 4 seasons.
