Inter Hurlers Recover from 10 points down to beat Vincents 2013-05-22 12:31:00

AHL 5 - St Vincents 3-09 St Brigids 3-14

Goals galore at Pairc Na Uinsionn last night as our Inter Hurlers claimed a thrilling comeback win against St Vincents in AHL 5. A desperate start, conceding three goals in the opening 20 minutes saw the lads trail 3-05 to 0-04 and looking a shadow of the team that easily beat St Kevins so easily in the Championship on Sunday. However, a blistering 10 minutes spell just before half time saw the game turn on its head as a brilliant hat-trick from James O Reilly and points from Keith Morris, Conor Morris and JP Costigan saw the lads remarkably led 3-07 to 3-05 at the break.

The second half was a much more controlled affair with the Brigids defence, marshalled superbly by Joey Jordan, on top and along with Brendan Lyngs excellent free taking the lads went on to claim their second win in 48 hours. No rest for the lads as they play their 3rd game in a week when the face Naomh Fionnbarra on Sunday morning at 11 in Russell Pk.
