St Marks 2-11 St Brigids 1-16
Our Intermediate hurlers claimed their third league win from four outings this season with a battling 1-16 to 2-11 win over St Marks in McGee Park. Going into the game minus a few key regulars the lads burst out of the blocks and were 1-03 to no score in front after an early Eoin Thynne goal and points from Keith Morris and Seanie Keegan. However, by half time Marks had hauled themselves back into the game to only trail by two, 1-08 to 1-06.
The second half followed a similar pattern with Brigids always four to five points clear but never fully out of sight and when Marks goaled again with 10 minutes remaining, a comeback looked on the cards. Not to be denied however, the visitors stood firm and after a brilliant save by minor goalkeeper Tadhg Brannigan, Seamus Lynam and Keith Morris clipped over late scores to seal the Brigids win.
