Senior Footballers Return to Winning Ways 2014-07-29 19:29:00

St Brigids 1-16 Templeogue 0-09

Our Senior Footballers returned to winning ways after a disappointing performance against Raheny two weeks ago to record a comfortable 1-16 to 0-09 win over Templeogue on Saturday evening in Russell Park.

Early points from Paddy Andrews, Philip Ryan and John O Loughlin gave the home side an ideal start and when Ryan goaled just before half time after some fine approach play from Gavin McIntyre the writing was on the wall for Templeogue as Brigids lead 1-09 to 0-03 at the break.

Mark Cahill and Kevin Bonner continued to press home the Brigids advantage in the second half with fine scores leaving the Russell Park men in 2nd place in the league table with four games remaining.
