Inter Hurlers Claim Second One Point Win in 5 days 2014-08-19 19:19:00

Ballyboden 2-08 St Brigids 1-12

Our Inter Hurlers claimed their second one point win in 5 days as they continued their fine league form by beating Ballyboden 1-12 to 2-08 in Ballycullen on Saturday evening. In a game which was dictated by a gale force cross field wind, it was the Boden men who utilised the advantage in the first half and were 1-05 to 1-02 in front, with Donal O Meara claiming the Brigids goal late in the half after a fine run from Brendan O Halloran.

The home side stretched their advantage upon the restart with 1-02 without reply to open up a 6 point gap with 20 minutes remaining. However, the Brigids men didnt panic and slowly started to reel in their opponents with the accuracy of Keith Morris and Macdara Butler to the fore. By the 55th minute the scores were level and a superb long range free from Butler pushed Brigids in front, an advantage they doggedly held onto until the full time whistle.
