The half time score line read 3-9 to 4-2 to St Brigids. The first half was very much a ding dong affair with the lead changing hands on several occasions. Jamie Winters opened his account with a superb effort off his left but Thomas Davis responded instantly with a goal. Mark Ryan soon responded with a super strike for goal but Davis soon responded with a goal of their own. Everytime we went ahead they found the net to edge ahead.

A scoring blitz just before half time left the lads in control at the break. Keiran O'Sullivan & Daire Plunkett scored goals. O'Sullivan's goal was expertly placed into the bottom right corner. Plunkett's was a nicely slotted finished to the bottom left corner after through the Davis defence.

Brigids started the second half well in control but missed several guilt edged chance to extend their lead. Davis pounced on these missed chance to score 1-2 to lead with less than 20 minutes on the clock. The Senior players soon stood up as Joey O'Callaghan began to catch a serious amount of ball around the middle. O'Sullivan soon had the game level with a pointed free.

Conor Woodgate became a rock at centre back and drove the side forward and scored a brilliant point to push the lads ahead. Further scores from Dara Doyle & O'Sullivan sealed the game as stout defending by Cathal Doyle & Eoin O'Brien kept Davis at bay. They now look forward to a Final clash against Finbars next Saturday with the venue & time to be announced.
